The Larrivee OM-40 Shedua (Ovangkol) Special Edition, is a guitar that combines exquisite materials, masterful craftsmanship, and a rich history of guitar-making expertise. This guitar features Shedua (Ovangkol) back and sides, which offers a tonal response that falls between Rosewood and Koa, providing a warm, full-bodied sound with excellent projection.

The top of the guitar is made from a special supply of exquisite Romanian Spruce, sourced from one of Jean Larrivee’s long-time wood sources. This wood is known for its tonal clarity, responsiveness, and projection, making it a perfect match for the Shedua back and sides.

This special edition of the Larrivee OM-40 guitar is a limited run, with only 80 sets available worldwide.

In addition to the Shedua back and sides, this guitar features multistrip side binding, adding an extra touch of elegance to its appearance. Larrivee is also bringing back the Leaf & Flower headstock inlay, which has not been used since the mid-90s, adding a unique and distinctive feature to this already striking instrument.
